​Hi! I am a researcher at the Centre for Functional Ecology (CFE), at the University of Coimbra.

My research interests are at the intersection of marine biology, genetics, and fisheries management, with a particular focus on understanding and mitigating the impacts of fisheries in marine species. My research also employs machine learning techniques for automatic species identification and size estimation from images in fisheries, enhancing the accuracy of data collection and supporting sustainable management practices.
